Our Work

We know that education, health, and economic opportunities are inter-connected. Improvements in one area can lead to improvements in the other two. NSP champions these three domains within its efforts. People are dying in alarming numbers from preventable diseases owing to poverty, lack of adequate health education, and other poor healthcare systems. Education empowers people with knowledge and skills and opportunities to make a good living and live a healthier life.

NSP's objective is to provide a suitable learning environment for students. As such, NSP has rehabilitated sections of Nanka Community High School, established a library, built a borehole for potable water, hired math and science teachers, and more.

Medical Mission

Each year, NSP organizes a medical mission at Ofu-Obi Comprehensive Health Center. From mobilizing medical professionals and volunteers to engaging community leaders, NSP provides access to much needed primary and preventative care to the community.

Our work happens within the context of a larger community. Therefore, the success of our approach involves garnering local support and balancing the right institutional partnerships in the community, which allows us to have a more profound impact.

About Us

Nanka School Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit with a mission to rehabilitate and improve the quality of education in Nanka, Nigeria. We plan to assist in reducing poverty through educational empowerment of the school children, through enabling the students to acquire technical skills, and through encouragement of community service among community members.
